Actor Patrick Dempsey is perhaps best known for his role as Dr. Derek Shepherd in the TV series Grey's Anatomy, where he is often referred to as "McDreamy" for his sex appeal.  Dempsey is photographed inside a Delahaye T165, which was originally built for the 1939 World's Fair, and is featured in the film a Transformers movie where Dempsey also plays a role.  The car is housed at the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, Ca. which also houses two other cars that appear in the film.  Dempsey is a car enthusiast and racer himself.

Robert Stone, of Palm Springs, the co-founder of the Warm Sands neighborhood association,  is one the activists that pressed city leaders to further investigate a police sting operation that led to nineteen arrests of men accused of sex crimes.  The controversial tactics used in the incident, which took place in 2009, this week led to the chief of police stepping down from his post.   Police at the time were trying to crack down on gay sex in public places.

Now she lives with her sickly grandfather. "Sometimes we don't eat.  Mostly we just make some tea and drink it with a piece of bread."  Meat is out of the question in her diet as it's too expensive.  "Sometimes if my grandfather makes a little money we buy some rice and that's like Eid Day (the biggest Muslim holiday) for us."

Stephen Snyder-Hill, 43, an Army reservist who has served two tours in Iraq, is held by his husband Josh Snyder-Hill, 34, inside their Columbus, Ohio home.  Stephen Snyder-Hill hid is sexuality for more than 20-years from the military and endured an often anti-gay climate while maintaining his secret. While serving his second tour of Iraq, Stephen Snyder-Hill submitted a question for the Republican presidential debate via YouTube that asked if any of the candidates would seek to reinstate the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy regarding gays serving in the military.  Some in the audience booed Snyder-Hill and his face became an icon for gays in the military.  The couple have used the exposure to highlight their situation. The two were married in May of 2011 while Stephen was on leave from his tour of Iraq.

De'on Miller holds the folded flag from her son Aaron Austin's coffin while reflected in a memorial erected outside the Lea County Courthouse in Lovington, New Mexico. The memorial was dedicated on June 30th, 2004, the same day the box containing Austin's personal effects from Iraq arrived at Miller's home.  His was the first name engraved on the surface. Austin died on April 26, 2004 during the battle of Fallouja
